RMS Announces Estimated Hurricane Activity Rates for 2008 to 2012 - 22.11.07
The United States, which has not experienced any major hurricane losses for the past two years, faces a high risk of major storms over the next five years, according to catastrophe forecaster, Risk Management Solutions (RMS).
RMS’ five-year prediction for landfalling hurricanes in the Atlantic Basin between 2008 and 2012 is "significantly above the risk averaged over the long term". The full press release is available here.
