Danielle

The fourth tropical storm of 2010 called Danielle according to Dr Jeff Master's blog is a Category 1 hurricane but looking somewhat less threatening than previously thought; he comments that weather models project Danielle as curving out to sea.

The US National Hurricane Center has interesting graphics on windspeed and direction here showing that it has weakened from a Category 2 to category 1.

The hurricane tracking site Stormpulse shows the current location of Danielle and also reports the genesis of a "High-Potential Disturbance" located 200 miles south west of the southernmost Cape Verde Islands: they estimate a 90% chance that this will become a tropical cyclone.

It is called Tropical depression #7 at present, or 96L
