The hurricane tracking site Stormpulse shows the current location of hurricane Earl and with the "Forecast Models" button toggled on [use the options buttons on the top RHS of the website], shows the projections for its path to be west of Bermuda and possibly brushing the north-east coast of the US later this week but it is advisable to remember that average track forecast errors are significant for four or five days ahead.
Dr Jeff Master’s blog comments that Earl is now a category 4 storm (135mph+ winds) which evidences that Earl has strengthened quickly since its genesis last week proof in turn of the warm waters in its path and low wind shear.
The Leeward islands have experienced flooding as a result of Earl’s impact and flooding in Antigua from the sea surge
